Shaunté Evans, CEO, Spartanburg Housing 

As the CEO of Spartanburg Housing, Shaunté is responsible for the oversight and effective operations of the agency.  Her career in the affordable housing and community development spans almost 20 years.

Shaunté joined Spartanburg Housing (SH) in September 2019.  Prior to joining SHA, she served as the Executive Vice President of Administrative Operations for the Charlotte Housing Authority.  In her position, Shaunté was responsible for the implementation of the agency's Moving to Work program and oversight of Government Affairs, Public Relations, Compliance, and the Housing Choice Voucher Program. Prior to her employment at the Charlotte Housing Authority, Shaunté worked for the South Carolina Department of Commerce and the Aiken Housing Authority.

Shaunte serves on numerous committees for the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) and Southeastern Regional Council for NAHRO.  She earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina Aiken and an MBA from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Shaunté is married to Antonio Evans.  They have two 8-year old children, Ashlyn and Antonio.
