The Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List is Opening

The Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List is Opening

Spartanburg Housing Authority will ONLY accept applications from families who are verified as working* 30 or more hours per week for six consecutive months.

You MUST meet this preference to be placed on the waiting list. Only 2,000 applications will be placed on the waiting by LOTTERY SELECTION.

Applications will be accepted ONLINE from Monday, August 7, 2017 to Friday, August 11, 2017. Applications can be obtained ONLINE by visiting www.shasc.org, select the link to the applicant portal.

Working is defined as the following:

A family where the head, spouse, or sole member is employed would meet the requirement for work activity. Households where the head and spouse, or sole member is age 62 or older, or is a person with disabilities.
