3 Students Receive 2022 Spartanburg Housing Marche Gault Scholarship


SPARTANBURG, SC - Spartanburg Housing awarded 3 students with the 2022 Marche Gault Scholarship.

The Spartanburg Housing Scholarship Fund was established in 1997 and was later renamed to honor former employee, Marche Gault in 2004. Ms. Gault passed away in 2003 leaving a huge impact on the agency as she was instrumental in developing youth services including a choir, track team and after school programs for Spartanburg Housing residents. In her honor, Spartanburg Housing offers a scholarship opportunity annually to residents to assist students in their pursuit of higher education. This scholarship is for post-secondary educational opportunities to be utilized at a college or university. Since 2001, Spartanburg Housing has awarded more than 74 scholarships with a total of $126,378.

Moore Adolya.jpgAdolya Moore, James F. Byrnes High School, $2,000 - Moore is a 2022 graduate of James F. Byrnes High School and will attend Duke University in the fall.




Moore Aidan.jpgAidan Moore, James F. Byrnes High School, $1,000 - Moore is a 2022 graduate of James F. Byrnes High School and will attend the University of South Carolina - Upstate in the fall.



Jeter Tamia.jpgTamia Jeter, Spartanburg Community College, $1,000 - Jeter is a 2018 graduate of Paul M. Dorman High School and will attend Spartanburg Community College in the fall to pursue a career as a Dental Assistant.

Donations to the Marche Gault Scholarship fund may be sent to the Spartanburg County Foundation.
